The HELIUM 8K Super 35 CMOS sensor offers rich 8K resolution in the lightweight, modular DSMC2 carbon fiber camera body. Features include a dynamic range of 16.5 stops, and the ability to record in REDCODE RAW (R3D) and ProRes or DNxHR/HD simultaneously. The included carbon fiber DSMC2 Sidekick control panel, and the magnesium RED DSMC S35 PL Mount 2.0 share the WEAPON’s strong yet lightweight design. Capture up to 60 fps in full-format 8K 8192 x 4320, or overcrank up to 75 fps in the 2.4:1 aspect ratio; additional frame rate choices include 120 fps in 4K, and up to 240 fps in 2K full format.

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is an excellent option for those who want full-cinema body feature sets in a small form factor body. The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K now boasts a S35 6K sensor in EF Mount* compared to the 4/3 sensor with MFT mount of the Pocket 4K, allowing for the use of common EF mount lenses and a FOV that many video creatives are used to. 

The menu system is extremely simple to navigate and tailored for those familiar with the Ursa Mini series or any other cinema oriented camera system with user assignable buttons for assigning features like focus zoom, false color, and more.

The body is manufactured using lightweight Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate Composite making it sturdy, yet light for comfortable handheld use. Power the camera using commonly found LPE6 batteries or using a Pocket Cinema Camera 6K DTap cable to power via V-Mount or Gold-Mount batteries. The full size HDMI port also makes it easy to output it’s image to anything from an onboard monitor, production monitor, or even a common TV or computer monitor.

The large 5″ touch screen LCD monitor is great to keep a compact build while still being able to view the image and the touch screen display allows for quick and easy access to the simple, yet powerful, menu system. All the controls at the tip of your fingers.

The Dual Native ISO of 400 and 3200 allows for additional flexibility for creatives to maximize dynamic range whether they’re in a studio setting or dimly lit environments.

The Pocket 6K can shoot in 10-bit ProRes up to 4K or Blackmagic RAW up to 6K. Blackmagic RAW can be used natively within Davinci Resolve or users can download the Blackmagic RAW SDK for support in any of their favorite editing apps.

Shoot on SD, CFast, or external drives using the USB-C port. Standard SD cards can record HD and 4K and 6K Blackmagic RAW is supported in CFast and UHS-II SD Cards. This allows for a high degree of flexibility and compatibility with common media owned and utilized by many creatives today.

The Pocket 6K is also designed to integrate with the ATEM Mini Pro for a versatile live stream setup with camera control via HDMI. Control focus, zoom, and iris with compatible lenses using it’s active EF Mount. Hook up the ATEM Mini Pro to any computer and broadcast it’s feed from whichever livestream platform of your choosing.
